R100 fee applied for each of the below-mentioned occurrences will be charged to the independent care provider and deducted (with the next weekly payment) for administrative purposes and extra fees arising (examples could be: providing discounts to clients for services that don’t live up to expectations; UBER fees for bringing in replacement caregiver; administrative efforts to source new caregiver and resulting in having the client be without a champ for x amount of hour(s) ).
The R100 fee applies IF the independent care provider:
- does not download and use the dedicated Job Card CarePlanner App (unless he/she has a valid reason why he/she could not download the app eg. the phone make does not support the app and has communicated this to the office agent)
- fails to submit expired and/or outstanding documentation regarding compliance status.
- fails to submit daily reports for completed shifts with allocated clients.
- does not inform us an hour before his/her shift starts that he/she is on his/her way. We will immediately send in the rotating caregiver and the late caregiver will not be reimbursed for traveling time
- is untrustworthy and dishonest in their communication with the CareChamp office team. They do not promptly submit incident reports or alert their supervisor when incidents occur during their shift, Eg> client falls or accidental damage to client belongings. Additionally, they do not inform the client's next of kin, such as the daughter, son, family friend, when these situations arise and further action is needed.
- does not inform the office team & his/her client when running late for his/her shift and the time he/she were late will be deducted from the timesheet and reimbursed to the client.
- discusses his/her personal matters with clients as this counts as being unprofessional at your workplace. Should your client prompt you for information, it's always our guideline to say "personal issues/family matters" and you can also refer that its the office's guideline not to share personal issues with clients as the office is your main point of contact.
- does not inform us when you are four months pregnant and we are informed through other sources. We will assess if you are capable, healthy, and fit enough to continue assisting your client. It is your responsibility to keep us updated with your doctor's appointments and notes in order for us to activate a reliever and when you are capable enough to come back you must inform us.
- has confirmed and committed to a new CareChamp placement and opts out within the month from date of confirming (for no approved reason).
- does not cancel his/her shift three days before the shift starts (unless an emergency arises for which proof needs to be submitted and thus communicated to the office team).
- arrives sick at a client. Independent Care Providers must not go to their shifts/clients when they are not feeling well. This puts your client's health at risk as well. (if you simply suffer from an allergy please inform us upfront, and we will inform the client upfront to avoid them panicking and to also inform the office team should you feel unwell.)
NB. If Champs do not abide by the champ duties (mentioned above) - when he/she has three strikes they will be removed from the CareChamp database
